Senate Bill 1141 (Gordner) would amend the Second Class
Township Code to permit second class townships to sell or
transfer real or personal property to a council of
government, consortium, cooperative or other similar entity
without following the advertising and competitive bidding
requirements of the Code. The bill would also permit second
class townships to make purchases and enter into contracts
with a council of government, consortium, cooperative or
similar entity without following the advertising and
competitive bidding requirements. Passed: 49-0.
